8 December 2008- Its Monday again which means Kel was back at St. John's for check-ups. Today was an important one as the ultrasounds were more extensive in order to measure certain developmental areas. First we met with Kel's regular doctor who seemed a little more positive as he began to explain the obstacles we've already overcome and the plan for the future. He explained that if we make it to 36 weeks that would be furthest he would allow Kel to go and therefore the baby's latest arrival date is now March 18. Next came the ultrasounds which showed our baby girl (3 different specialist have now guessed) was developing right on schedule. They measured everything including spine, heart, brain, legs, skull, and even approximated the weight to be 1 pound 0 ounces. It was a great feeling to know that even through the tough situation, Baby B is growing like normal. Fluid levels were down a bit today, so pray for that and pray that we continue to avoid infection as that still proves the greatest threat at this point. As always, thanks for your continued prayers and support. (SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW PHOTOS)

It is very evident God's hand continues to be in this journey. He is the constant through all the ups and downs. I told Jolie she needs to be an ultrasonographer as she was able to point out all of baby girls profile on the pictures much better than I was. Once she did I was able to see it clearly. It is reassuring to know she is developing on target. We will pray for more fluid. Our God is an awesome God! Jeremiah 29:11

We are so thankful that God continues to gently hold Kelly and Baby in the palm of his hand. Oh what comfort that gives us! We are falling in love with this little miracle and can't wait to meet her. From what we saw on the ultrasound, peek a boo might be her favorite game. Granny Janny and Papa G look forward to it. Maybe we'll have a St. Patrick's Day baby. Papaw T would love that!!! Praise God for another day!!!

I woke up this morning and couldn't wait to check the blog. I am so happy for another Monday of great check ups. I know that God will continue to take care of the three of you and your families. Just know that we are continuing to pray here at the Currie house...

Kelly and Jeff
We continue to pray that God's warm grace and love enfold you, your supporters in faith, love, and friendship, and precious Baby B.

His touch is wonderous.

From today's Advent Devotion:

Come to me all you that are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Wow. As usual He is right on target.

Love and prayers,
Denise & Neal H

Hi Kelly & Jeff, thanks for posting those pictures of your little baby girl! How exciting! Every week I await the latest update from Amanda on your progress. You can certainly see God's hand in all of this, and how blessed you are to have so many people who love and care about you and your little baby. You are continually in my prayers, and I had my women's group pray for you last Tuesday at our Christmas party when we had prayer time. Keep holding on, you are doing a fantastic job.

Love to you,
Linda
