24 November 2008- We have just returned from our weekly trip to St. Johns and our baby continues to prove her stamina. The fluid levels have increased a bit more, the heartbeat is still in the normal range, and she was moving around a lot during the ultrasound. We have included some pictures from today's ultrasound and while they are really small you can easily see major features like the head and torso and those used to looking at them might see arms, legs, and even hands and feet. Doctors still like to remind us of the longshot but we continue to pray that our baby is one who can pull through. It was so fun to watch her move and stretch today and really gave Kel new energy to keep up her efforts of following doctors orders. Thank you to everyone who has been praying and please keep it up.

Today we are so joyful!!! We continue to take one day at a time and are thankful for the blessing of today. While the doctors continue to describe this situation as "very guarded" we continue to lift it up to God and continue to ask him that no infection come into Kelly's body, that fluid levels will continue to increase, that God gives us just enough strength for each day and that our sweet little granddaughter will continue to fight. Thank you for praying. Please don't stop. Ultimately we ask for God's will in this because we know His will is perfect. We continue to trust Him completely!!!

We are rejoicing with you! I wish I could have been there to see those little arms and legs moving. She is a fighter for sure! This is the best news we could have hoped for and we will continue to pray that each passing week brings new milestones. Praise God!

I am so thankful for the good report today. Each day is a blessing and we will continue to praise God, the master of "long shots" (as the doctors refer to her as). We said at the beginning that our God is bigger than this situation and we put our trust in HIS hand. The evil one will do everything he can to de-rail your faith. Remember, God loves her too!

Love, Dad

WOO HOO!!
I was so glad to hear the good news today. Thank you Lord.
I loved to hear how active she was during her photo shoot. She must feel she has enough room to stretch and play and tumble!!
Stay strong Mommy and Daddy!! Much love and many prayers surround you all.

That's wonderful news! I'm so happy for you guys! Isn't it amazing how much work it is to be on bedrest?? Continue to take care of yourself and that little baby. I can't wait to meet her!

Sounds like your baby is a scrapper. Since Kendra was also on bed rest, I thought I'd give some tips on how to cope.
1)Put something on the wall and watch it dry (I'd say paint, but that's bad for the baby).
2)Do finger curl ups. Your fingers will be very strong after a few weeks.
3)Buy several Sudoku books and finish them all. Try to solve a rubicks cube. When else will you have time?
4)Organize picture and start several albums, or a baby scrapbook
5)Have Jeff run several errands that seem unreasonable. Laugh as he does them without question.
Seriously, I know it's hard, but just take it one day at a time and it's eventually over. Very worth it.
