14 November 2008- This is hopefully the first of many posts detailing our journey through the hardships we've been presented. If you haven't heard, Kel went to the Women's Evaluation Unit on Monday 10 November after it was suspected she was leaking Amniotic Fluid. Sadly, doctors were able to confirm that her water had broken sometime earlier. As most of you know she is only 18 weeks pregnant so this presents quite a problem. After prolonged lists of what could and is likely to go wrong, and after multiple tear sessions, we vowed to trust God and stay as positive as possible in the given situation. Kel stayed in the hospital for three days having had blood tests, multiple ultra sounds, and other medical procedures to determine the baby is still strong and holding on amidst the tough scenario. She will be on strict bed rest for the next seven weeks or so until the baby is viable and could be delivered if necessary. At that time we are told she will live at St. John's until the baby comes. If there is a positive to come from any of this, the 18 week ultra sound was able to determine that the baby appears to be a girl!!! We will update as soon and often as possible but until then we ask that you pray for a few specific things. First, that Kel's fluid begins to restore itself and continues to protect the baby. Second that her womb is able to avoid infection which would prove the end of the pregnancy. Lastly, that God provide strength to all of us as we push through this journey.

Jeff and Kelly -

Just got your email and read the blog. We prayed and will continue to pray. We asked that the Lord would be near to you, give you peace, remove any fear, and draw your minds back to His promises in the Scripture. We asked too that God would bring your little girl to full-term. We love you both.

Praying with you,
Alan & Stephanie

Our world has been shaken this week but through it all God has been with us and carried us through. We are thankful for family and friends who have cared for us and prayed for us. We are thankful for each day. We continue to pray and ask God to be the master physician and keep Kelly and the baby safe. Our little granddaughter is proving to be a fighter. Thank you Jesus!

Jeff, Kel, and Baby Girl, <3

Our God is the ultimate healer, Our God is the ultimate provider, Our God is the ultimate comforter,
and He is holding us right now. He is working, I know He is. I know my niece is being held right now by his healing and gentle hands. We are called to remember His promises that He walks with us in EVERY situation and He has promised us that His plan is perfect. He is good, even in the storms. Right now we are in the middle of one of those storms, but He is right there with us. All we need to do is TRUST. I love you all so so much.
love,
Aunt Mandy :)

It is evident and a blessing that Baby B has so much love and prayer suppport! We know she's a fighter, and I'll have to revise my nickname for her to "Butchella"!
God promises that good will come, even from bad or scary times, as long as we trust Him. Every 24 hours is a little miracle and we will rejoice every day.
Love and Prayers,

I am blessed and privileged to be a "Kel sitter." I talked to PJ tonight and she has her whole school praying for you guys, staff, kids and even the kids parents. My bible study is praying. You are being covered in prayer. That's what has gotten us this far! We will do all we can to get your little girl here safely! Love you all

Thanksgiving has a an added meaning for our family this year. We are counting our blessings day by day instead of over the past year. We are learning to put our trust in God and His plan each day even more. Maybe you can try some relaxation techniques like deep breathing for the muscle pain. Even though you are in bed, your muscles may be tense. I will miss seeing you this week since all the days are covered, so I may just have to come for a visit!
