17 November 2008- Kel just called from St. John's where the first of the tests are complete. The ultrasound looked good as the baby's heartbeat is still in the normal range. At this point she still appears to be free from infection and even though she continues to leak fluid, the level was up a bit from last week. She got to speak to the high risk specialist who explained the milestones we've already reached. Most women either deliver or succumb to infection within the first week of their water breaking prematurely. We have now passed that point. Of course we still have a long road ahead but doctors are now mapping out the plan to move ahead which is a great sign. The specialist also explained that while lung development has been a concern, it is possible the baby was able to develop enough before the break that it may not be an issue. While all of this seems to be good news doctors know the many risk still involved. Of course we will know more in the future. Keep praying.

YAY for great news!! Rejoice in the little things, because they all add up to one great day: when the baby is born healthy to two loving parents!
To God be the glory!!! We continue to ask God to protect our precious girls, Kelly and Baby B. We thank Him for carrying us through this past week and continue to lean on Him completely. Kelly I'm so proud of you and Jeff too. Your love for Jesus, each other, and this precious baby girl will get you through. While we don't know what the future holds, we know we have Jesus and each other. We will get through this. I'm in constant prayer. Love you, all three!
Just heard about your situation from our Sunday School Class's group site. Glad to hear the good news! We will most definately be keeping you all in our prayers.
We're happy to hear the good news! We'll keep praying for you and thinking about all three of you. Love you lots!!!!
I was just re-reading day one of the blog. Jeff specifically asked "First, that Kel's fluid begins to restore itself and continues to protect the baby. Second that her womb is able to avoid infection which would prove the end of the pregnancy. Lastly, that God provide strength to all of us as we push through this journey." We know we have lots of people praying . . . these prayers are being answered. Please everyone, keep praying, I'm humbled. God is good!!
What great news! The Bunco gals were asking for an update, and I forward this to them. The 3 of you are on their prayer list. Looking forward to next week, and more good news.
